Our team

Virginia Cabello, Lawyer

Maître Cabello is the founder of VIC lawyer Inc. She is a member of the Quebec Bar Association and practices in immigration law and family law.

She is also a member of the Young Bar of Montreal and of the Quebec Association of Immigration Lawyers 

After graduating from the University of Montreal in 2018, she completed her professional training at a Montreal law firm in family and immigration law. She immediately began her practice as a lawyer in another firm, in the same areas of law, and then founded her law firm.

During her law studies, Maître Cabello volunteered at the Legal Information Clinic at McGill University during the summer of 2016 and also did an internship for a community center, at the Mile-End Legal Clinic from 2016 to 2017.

Before living in Canada, Maître Cabello studied Social Work in Venezuela, where she worked with families and children living in difficult situations, which increased her interest in social justice and the defense of the rights of those most in need. She also holds a certificate in community action from the University of Montreal.

From the age of 4, Maître Cabello practiced high-level gymnastics and was a member of the Venezuelan national team, which allowed her to represent Venezuela in several countries in international competitions.

Maître Cabello has an unlimited source of energy, her job as a lawyer is not enough for her. Don't be surprised by all the things she does: she is an artistic gymnastics coach, looks after her two dogs (which she brought with her from Venezuela), and is also a foster family for cats in need.

Marie-Lou Archambault, Lawyer

Maître Archambault is a lawyer at VIC lawyer Inc. She has been a member of the Quebec Bar Association since 2019 and practices immigration law.

Holder of a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Montreal since 2018 (LL.B.), she began her practice by completing her professional internship in the heart of the Old Port of Montreal in a family and immigration law firm. She first practiced in these same areas of law and then joined the family of VIC lawyer Inc.

During her studies, Maître Archambault completed a first internship in immigration law in the summer of 2017. She then participated in an Alternative Dispute Resolution Seminar in 2018, with the aim of developing her strength as a conciliator.

Before becoming a lawyer, she worked in the community with young people. She has developed a deep interest in social justice, but also in the human aspect of immigration law in general. With patience, gentleness and empathy, she then devoted herself to defending the interests of people in difficult situations, particularly in the context of complex Asylum cases.

Having the interests of her clients at heart, Marie-Lou will be able to advise you, guide you and represent you throughout your file.

Lisbet Alonso Martinez

Lisbet Alonso Martinez is the administrative assistant at VIC lawyer Inc.

She graduated in Law from Jose Marti University of Sancti Spiritus in Cuba in 2010. Lisbet acquired professional experience in the treatment of legal files in the real estate sector in her city of residence.

She has continued to pursue legal knowledge and venture into the Canadian legal world, as well as completing her comparative evaluation of studies made outside of Québec, to access the area of ​​her interest since her arrival.

After she arrived in Canada, Lisbet began her steps to integrate into Québec society by enrolling in French courses, as well as beginning to work at Walmart Canada to broaden her language and her experience in customer service, a key piece for her future performance in the legal world.

From her beginning at Walmart Canada, her co-workers could notice her joviality and her desire to help others, so on several occasions they asked her for advice and help and Lisbet never hesitated to offer them her support.

Settled in Montréal in 2019, she begins to take her first steps in the field of legal professionals thanks to the opportunity offered by VIC lawyer Inc.

Lisbet has a boundless thirst for knowledge, in addition to her desire to help the less fortunate, which allows her to do her work with enthusiasm, as well as continue to improve herself to continue advancing in her desire to become a practicing lawyer again.
